Service Terms & Conditions


PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING OUR SERVICES

By arranging and agreeing any service or provision via phone, fax, email, website or via all and any forms of verbal or written agreement, you are bound to Plumbford Service Terms and Conditions.

1.  PLUMBING SERVICES (this covers all commercial and domestic operations)
A.  All clients agree to pay invoices via BACS (bank transfer) instruction as per the Terms stated in your individual invoice.
B.  Plumbford reserves the right to suspend or withhold services if the payments are missing or if required paperwork is not returned to Plumbford prior to the first scheduled service.
C.  Minimum duration of 1 hour per visit applies for all services.
D.  The advisors can only give a rough estimate of the duration and cost of the service, which is based on a basic description of the client’s requirements. Please note that duration and cost may vary therefore a degree of flexibility is required.
E.  Plumbford will not be responsible for triggering any alarm systems. Clients should give any special instructions for deactivation/ activation of any commercial / business or household alarm systems.
F.  The client understands that the price quoted is only valid for 28 days from receipt of the quote and is subject to change after this duration.
G.  Plumbford reserves the right to amend the initial quotation, should the client’s original requirements change.
H.  Plumbford reserves the right to allow all staff to refuse to complete or undertake any work which is considered unsanitary or relates to the exposure of contaminated faecal matter, vomit or other bodily fluids from humans or animals. This is extended but not limited to all jobs or tasks which are not conventionally considered as part of a plumber’s jurisdiction. 

 

2.  PAYMENTS
A.  Payment should be made via BACS (bank transfer).
B.  Payment can be made with debit or credit card over the phone. Plumbford will not share the client's card details with a third party.
C.  The client agrees that any outstanding amount owed to Plumbford can be charged from the debit/credit card the client has provided at the time of the booking.
D.  Client understands that any 'late payments' will be subject to additional charges of as stated on the invoice Terms & Conditions.
E.  If payment is not made by the Due Date stated on the invoice, then the account will be passed to our collection agency.

 

3.  COMPLAINTS AND CLAIMS
A.  The client accepts and understands that poor service, breakage/damage or theft must be reported within 24 hours from the service date. Failure to do so will entitle client to no refunds or recovery cleanings.
B.  Plumbford requires the presence of the client or his/hers representative in the beginning and at the end of the service as an inspection can be carried out and if any corrections, should be made on the same day.
C.  Plumbford may take up to 7 working days to respond to a complaint.
D.  Complaints are accepted verbally over the phone and in writing (letter, email or fax). Complaints must be reported on completion or in the following 24-hours of the service date.
E.  All fragile and highly breakable items must be secured or removed. Items excluded from liability are: cash, jewellery, items of sentimental value (the client will be credited with the items present cash value), art and antiques.
F.  Plumbford agrees to keep all client’s information confidential.
G.  In case of damage Plumbford will repair the item at its cost. If the item cannot be repaired Plumbford will rectify the problem by crediting the client with the item's present actual cash value toward a like replacement upon payment of services rendered.

 

4.  INSURANCE
A.  Plumbford has a Public and Employer's liability insurance. The policy will cover any accidental damages caused by a member of staff working on behalf of Plumbford, reported within 24 hours of service date.
B.  Plumbford reserves the right to refuse to share any of the confidential company documents.

 

6.  LIABILITY
Plumbford reserves the right not to be liable for:
A.  Completing tasks which are not stated on our job report;
B.  Works not completed due to obstacles or works being carried out thus preventing ease of access.
C.  A third party entering or present at the premises during the service provision, preventing service provision;
D.  Damage becoming more visible once items, furniture or equipment has been removed;
E.  Any existing damages.
 

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the relevant United Kingdom law, and by agreeing to be bound by them the client agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts of the United Kingdom. Plumbford reserves the right to make any changes to any part of these Terms and Conditions without giving any prior notice.
